All About Tess

A design professor once told me, “Your sentimentality is a superpower.” This rings true in both my personal and professional life. I don’t shy away from injecting universal feelings, like nostalgia or joy, into my work. Invoking emotion through design is the eternal goal.

I studied graphic design with a minor in creative writing at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I’m currently based in New York City.

With an interest in writing and art, my work is elevated by careful word choice and a love of the craft, all in an effort to maximize creative communication.

& Her Lucky Badges

When I’m not graphic designing, you can find me intently hunched over a craft. My signature pieces are intricate badges made of felt and beads. I pride myself on gift-giving, so these ‘lucky badges’ can be seen spread about my loved ones’ walls.

I like to think of graphic design as an extension of my core identity as a maker.
